The All-Russian Agrarian Dictation will be held again in Tatarstan

14 April 2026, Tuesday

From May 26 to 30, 2026, the All-Russian Agrarian Dictation, a federal event to test knowledge about the agro-industrial complex, rural areas, and the country's food security, will be held in Russia for the second time. Registration for participants and sites is now available on the website agrodiktant.rf. The opening ceremony will take place in Moscow at the National Center "Russia" as part of the Rural Workers Forum.

The project is being implemented by the United Russia party as part of the "Russian Village" party project, in partnership with Rosselkhozbank, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and federal ministries and agencies.

The Agro Dictation can be taken online on the agrodiktant.rf platform or in person at one of the organized sites in all 89 regions of Russia. Anyone can test their knowledge from May 26 to 30. Participants will have 40 minutes to answer 30 test questions. Registered participants will receive an electronic certificate, and those with the highest score will receive a winner's diploma.

This year, the topic range has been expanded: in addition to the familiar sections—crop production, livestock farming, fisheries, digitalization, exports, agritourism, and food security—a new section, "Agricultural Economics," has been added. The tasks are tailored to the participant's age and skill level. Organizations willing to host participants in person can register their site by May 18.

The first Agro Dictation, held in October 2025, attracted over 400,000 participants from all 89 regions of Russia. Sixty-one percent took the dictation in person, while 39% took it online. Urban and rural residents were almost equally divided: 51.9% and 48.1%. Women participated more actively than men—62% versus 38%. Nine thousand sites were open for offline participation. The dictation was taken in schools, universities, agricultural colleges, research institutes, branches of the Russian Agricultural Bank, farms and agricultural enterprises, museums, libraries, and public spaces. Over 8,000 people emerged as absolute winners—with a maximum score of 30 out of 30 possible—60% of whom lacked professional agricultural education.

Russia is one of the largest food producers and exporters. The agro-industrial complex is rapidly digitizing and changing faster than most citizens can update their understanding of it. The Agro Dictation offers everyone, regardless of profession or age, the opportunity to test themselves and, if desired, learn more about the foundations of the country's food independence in support of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
