Today, a working meeting was held at the Ministry between Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Alisher Zakirov, Deputy Khokim of the Kashkandarya Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was also attended by Siren Nigmatzyanov, Head of the Livestock Development Department; Renat Nugmanov, Deputy Head of the Crop Development Department; and Salavat Sakhabutdinov, Acting Head of the International Cooperation and Export Development Department of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Rustem Gainullov spoke about the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Tatarstan, noting that the republic is self-sufficient in key food products. He also noted that Tatarstan is one of the country's leaders in livestock production. "By the end of 2025, we produced a record 2.37 million tons of milk. Tatarstan is the largest milk producer in the country," he added.
Alisher Zakirov presented the capabilities of the Kashkandarya Region and emphasized: "The region's agriculture is a large and complex sector. We produce 347,000 tons of meat, 1.4 million tons of milk, 215,000 tons of fruit, 664,000 tons of vegetables, 131,000 tons of grapes, and 297,000 hides," he said.
At the meeting, they discussed prospects for developing cooperation and export potential, as well as joint projects in crop production, livestock farming, and agricultural processing in support of the national "Export" project.
The Kashkandarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan is interested in Tatarstan's products, including beef cattle, single-feed, seed potatoes, sugar, meat and dairy products, and is also ready to supply lemons and fruit and vegetable products.
