Tatarstan was chosen as the venue for the congress. The region is one of the leading regions in Russia's agricultural sector, leading in milk production. The republic has a proven track record of working with small farms, preserving villages, and developing rural areas.
The Korston State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company hosted roundtable discussions on the organization of production, processing, and sales of small-scale farm products in agricultural consumer cooperatives specializing in meat and dairy products; interactions between municipal authorities and farms, private farmsteads, and agricultural cooperatives; and improving the regulatory framework governing small-scale farming, including land use, veterinary standards, environmental and nature conservation requirements, and seed production.
Then, at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park, the congress participants visited shopping arcades, production facilities, warehouses, and refrigeration facilities. The trading floor offers a wide selection of food products, clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and other goods.
The Kazan Agro-Industrial Park is a unique project not only for Kazan but for Russia as a whole. It is the first multifunctional complex built for an agricultural producer and entrepreneur. The facility is designed to provide residents of the region with natural, high-quality food products from 429 vendors across an area of over 50,000 square meters.
