Today, the Tatarstan Equestrian Federation held its annual conference at the Kazan Hippodrome, chaired by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan. Also participating were Giyaz Idiyatullin, Director of the Kazan Hippodrome, and Svetlana Kappusheva, Executive Director of the Tatarstan Equestrian Federation.

Welcoming the conference participants, Marat Zyabbarov noted that agriculture has many diverse areas, but equestrianism is one of the most interesting, challenging, and promising.

Aidar Kadyrov, Head of the Sports Reserve Training Sector at the Tatarstan Ministry of Sports, said: "Equestrian sports in the republic have a significant cultural and sport heritage, and we must continue it." Regarding the sporting component, the most important and primary factor is increasing the number of sports athletes, which will be competitive in the Russian Federation."

Svetlana Kappusheva presented a report on the work of the Tatarstan Equestrian Federation for 2025. "Currently, our Equestrian Federation has 72 members. Nine equestrian schools and 11 clubs successfully operate throughout the republic. In 2025, 34 events were held, 17 of which had status ranging from regional to national," she said.

According to Svetlana Kappusheva, holding major tournaments in the Republic of Tatarstan promotes equestrian sports among children and youth. The traditional international Rais Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in show jumping attracts many fans, providing the opportunity to watch outstanding athletes perform. Spectacular competitions inspire the younger generation, motivate them, and invite friends and family members to the spectator stands.

The conference also addressed rankings, requirements for inclusion of athletes from the Republic of Tatarstan in the rankings, and anti-doping measures.

Following the conference, Marat Zyabbarov awarded the best equestrian athletes and presented cups and letters of thanks from the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
