Spring agricultural fairs continue in the republic. Last weekend, residents of Tatarstan visited marketplaces located in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, and the Zelenodolsk and Nizhnekamsk municipal districts. Districts of the republic, agricultural holdings, and local farmers presented their fresh, high-quality produce.

Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, inspected the fairgrounds in Kazan last Saturday. He toured the new marketplace at 1 Sh. Usmanov Street, located within the Moscow Market. He also appreciated the variety of produce on Yamasheva Street and interacted with buyers and sellers.

Over the two weeks of the fairs, agricultural products worth a total of 189.9 million rubles were delivered, including 220.9 tons of vegetables: 116.6 tons of potatoes; 36.8 tons of bulk milk; 55.1 tons of sugar; 358,300 chicken eggs; and 204.6 tons of meat (including 104.1 tons of beef). A total of 1,799 vehicles were used to conduct the fairs.

The delivery of agricultural products worth almost 200 million rubles over two weeks is a clear example of the successful implementation of the objectives of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security." Such events demonstrate the importance of government support, innovation, and effective logistics in providing the population with high-quality and affordable food products, thereby strengthening the country's food sovereignty.
