A delegation from the Republic of Belarus visited the Ministry

Today, the Ministry hosted a working meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Belarus, chaired by Lenar Garipov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Alexei Kushnarenko, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee. It also included representatives of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the Zhodino City Executive Committee, and the heads of major agro-industrial enterprises in the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting, Lenar Garipov spoke about the republic's export potential and presented the capabilities of Tatarstan's agro-industrial complex.

Alexei Kushnarenko emphasized: "Tatarstan is a region with intensive agricultural production, occupying a leading position in the Russian Federation. The Minsk Region is also a leader in the Republic of Belarus. We produce more than a quarter of the country's crop and livestock products. The Minsk Region is a national brand thanks to the quality and environmental friendliness of its raw materials. "By 2025, the cattle population will reach 900,000 head and 17 million head of poultry. We have raised over 500,000 tons of the main livestock and poultry species," he said.

In 2025, the Republic of Belarus imported $48.8 million worth of products to the Republic of Tatarstan, while exporting $50.2 million worth of products in support of the national "Export" project.

At the meeting, prospects for further cooperation and export potential were discussed, along with joint projects in crop production, livestock farming, and mechanization.
