The Tatarstan branch of the Federal Center for Assessment of Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products summarized its preliminary results for 2025.

The most significant event was the successful expansion of the testing laboratory's accreditation scope to 106 methods covering 654 indicators in the areas of plant quality, safety, and quarantine. Following an expert review, the branch introduced a new method—dendrochronological examination, or tree age assessment.

Since the beginning of the year, employees of the Tatarstan branch of the Federal Center for Assessment of Safety and Quality of Agricultural Products have fumigated and aerosolized over 2.5 million cubic meters of empty storage facilities for various types of grain, which is 2.4 times more than during the same period in 2024. Specialists decontaminated not only empty warehouses but also 182,600 tons of grain and processed grain products shipped both to the domestic Russian market and for export to Turkey, China, Georgia, and Azerbaijan in support of the national "Export" project.

In 2025, the first export shipment (direct export) of food wheat to Iran was made. A total of 14 shiploads of food wheat and barley for feed purposes, weighing over 62,000 tons, were exported to the Islamic Republic under the supervision of specialists. Specialists performed a full range of necessary activities, including documentation support, decontamination of empty ship holds, and grain in accordance with the requirements of the Iranian quarantine agency, Russian, and international legislation.

Last year, the branch also expanded its range of services, adding the testing of livestock by-product samples and the issuance of test reports. Furthermore, since 2025, the branch's experts have also been providing necessary assistance in creating technical specifications.
