Agricultural fairs continue in the republic. Last weekend, Tatarstan residents visited marketplaces located in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, Nizhnekamsk, and Kamskiye Polyany. Districts of the republic, agricultural holdings, and local farmers presented their fresh, high-quality produce.

Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, inspected the fairgrounds in Kazan last Saturday. He walked the stalls at the fairgrounds on Batyrshina, Krasnokokshayskaya, and Tinchurina Streets, assessed the variety of products, and interacted with buyers and sellers.

Over the fifteen weeks of fairs, agricultural products worth a total of 1,466.6 million rubles were imported, including 6,945.4 tons of vegetables (including 4,168.4 tons of potatoes); 295.1 tons of bulk milk; 801.0 tons of sugar; 2,055.9 thousand chicken eggs; and 1,112.9 tons of meat (including 622.3 tons of beef). A total of 15,373 vehicles were used to conduct the fairs.

Fairs are one of the most popular formats for distributing agricultural products produced by local producers. They connect producers and consumers, promote agricultural development, and improve food security in the region, all in line with the goals and objectives of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."

We remind you that the final fairs of the year will be held on December 27. The next fairs are planned to start in March next year.
