Autumn agricultural fairs continue in the republic. Despite rainy weather last weekend, Tatarstan residents visited marketplaces located in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, Nizhnekamsk, and Kamskiye Polyany. Districts of the republic, agricultural holdings, and local farmers presented their fresh, high-quality produce.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov inspected the fairgrounds in Kazan last Saturday. He toured the stalls at the Derbyshki and Agroprompark fairgrounds and interacted with buyers and sellers.

Residents were offered a wide range of products at affordable prices, including poultry, eggs, beef, pork, potatoes, vegetables, milk and dairy products, sugar, sunflower oil, flour, and confectionery.

Over the course of eleven weeks of fairs, agricultural products worth a total of 1 billion 65 million rubles were imported, including 6,722 tons of vegetables (including 3,848 tons of potatoes); 219 tons of bulk milk; 681.5 tons of sugar; 1 billion 474 million chicken eggs; and 793 tons of meat (including 462 tons of beef).

The fairs have significant social significance and are one of the most popular formats for distributing agricultural products produced by local producers. They connect producers and consumers, contribute to the development of agriculture, and improve the region's food security, which aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
