A delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan paid a working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The delegation included Marat Gatin, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan; Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan; and heads of major agro-industrial enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the visit, Rustem Gainullov met with the management of the Quesna agricultural development holding company and representatives of the Chamber of Food Industries, an industry association of Egyptian food industry enterprises.
At the Russian Embassy in Cairo, the Deputy Minister participated in a meeting between Marat Gatin and Georgy Borisenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Rustem Gainullov also visited the pavilion of JSC Russian Export Center, where he met with potential buyers of grain crops and oil and fat products. He emphasized that $4.9 million worth of sunflower oil was exported last year.
At the conclusion of the working visit, contracts and agreements were signed, including a protocol following negotiations between the Quesna agricultural development holding company and the Foundation for the Promotion of Strategic Dialogue and Partnership in support of the national Export project.
