15 November 2025, Saturday

In the Republic of Tatarstan, 114,000 hectares of land remain to be harvested, with sunflowers accounting for the majority of the harvest at 75,500 hectares. Corn for grain has been threshed on 28,500 hectares, or 56% of the planned area.

Sugar beet harvesting is nearing completion. One million tons of raw materials, or 40% of the gross harvest, have been transported to sugar refineries, 939,000 tons have been processed, and 136,000 tons of sugar have been produced.

These figures were announced today at a Saturday meeting at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Tatarstan Regional Agricultural Council, held a videoconference meeting with all municipal districts. Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin also participated in the meeting.

Referring to Rosstat data, the head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture reported that the republic ranks fifth in gross agricultural output from private farms (PF), with a 1% increase by 2023.

597 million rubles have been allocated for the development of private farms in 2025, of which 592 million rubles have been spent to date. The minister also announced that Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Tatarstan Regional Agricultural Council, supported the allocation of additional funds for PFs for two categories: the purchase of commercial and breeding stock of heifers and first-calf heifers worth 10 million rubles, and young poultry worth 5 million rubles.

The most popular and effective government support tool for cooperative development is subsidizing 10 to 50% of expenses in three key areas: property acquisition, machinery and equipment acquisition, and agricultural produce procurement. Marat Zyabbarov provided data on these areas by district for 2025.

Furthermore, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan announced that, starting in 2025, the Tatarstan Rais supported the proposal to allocate 200 million rubles annually for the construction of feed centers. Eleven enterprises received support for the acquisition of processing equipment with packaging lines based on 24 applications. There are 57 feed centers in the republic.

Starting in 2026, the approaches to state support for farmers and cooperatives with federal participation will change. Several programs will be terminated, but new programs will be introduced. The total amount of support will increase from 652 to 718 million rubles.

The Minister also announced that, starting in 2026, grant support will be provided to participants in the special military operation to open their own agribusiness, with grant amounts of up to 7 million rubles.
