Tatarstan Increases Grain Exports: New Wheat Shipment Destined for Vietnam

10 November 2025, Monday

A 3,950-ton batch of milling wheat destined for Vietnam was shipped from the Sviyazhsk-Zernoprodukt LLC elevator complex (Sviyazhsk MMLC) in the Zelenodolsk District under the supervision of the Tatarstan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsOK AIC" (Agricultural Complex Center) for the Republic of Tatarstan.

Specialists at the branch collected samples from the shipment for laboratory testing to ensure product compliance with the Customs Union Technical Regulation TR CU 015/2011 "On Grain Safety," GOST 9353-2016 "Wheat. Technical Conditions," as well as the terms of the contract and the requirements of the importing country.

Quality and safety indicators were tested, including for the presence of quarantine pests, and the shipment was fumigated.

"According to the reports issued by the Tatarstan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Quality Assurance of the Agro-Industrial Complex," no quarantine objects were detected, and the specified batches of grain and its processed products met the requirements of the destination country," noted Svetlana Belova, head of the inspection body at the Tatarstan branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Quality Assurance of the Agro-Industrial Complex."

The new wheat harvest, grown by Tatarstan farmers, is planned to be delivered by ship to the port of Kavkaz for onward transshipment to its destination based on an application, laboratory testing, and the necessary permits—a phytosanitary quarantine certificate, a safety and quality certificate, a health certificate, a radiological certificate, a non-GMO certificate, and a test report.

It should be noted that since the start of navigation, 70 ships carrying grain, totaling over 197,300 tons, have departed the Republic of Tatarstan under the supervision of the CENTER for Quality Assurance of the Agro-Industrial Complex. Wheat was the main grain export, accounting for 68%. More than 135 thousand tons of food wheat were shipped via transshipment at the port of Kavkaz to countries such as Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Libya, and the Republic of Djibouti (Africa), which is 52% more than last year's figure in support of the national Export project.
