Marat Zyabbarov Visited the Sultanate of Oman on a Working Visit

A delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan, led by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, paid a working visit to Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

During the visit, Marat Zyabbarov participated in a business forum organized by the Russian Export Center. Representatives of Russian companies specializing in the export of food products, industrial goods, and equipment, as well as logistics services, also participated in the forum.

Marat Zyabbarov noted that the Republic of Tatarstan and the Sultanate of Oman, despite their geographical distance, offer numerous opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.

"We view Oman as an important strategic partner in the Persian Gulf region and attach great importance to the development of bilateral relations. "The Government of the Republic of Tatarstan is ready to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of joint initiatives," the minister said.

According to him, the republic's agro-industrial complex offers organic grain crops, vegetable oils, halal products, confectionery, and other goods that may be of interest to the Omani market.

Marat Zyabbarov emphasized that the Republic of Tatarstan is a leader in agricultural production in the Russian Federation and is ready to offer its Omani partners a wide range of high-quality products.

During the visit, the minister also held a working meeting with Oleg Levin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Sultanate of Oman, during which he presented the capabilities of Tatarstan's agro-industrial complex and discussed the republic's export potential.

Marat Zyabbarov then met with representatives of major Omani agro-industrial enterprises, including Arij Vegetable Oils & Derivatives, a company specializing in the production and processing of vegetable oils and their derivatives; Oman Flour Mills, a grain processing and flour production company; and Mazoon Dairy Company.

The minister noted numerous opportunities for cooperation in support of the national "Export" project. Last year, agricultural trade between Russia and Oman reached $152.4 million.

Finally, Marat Zyabbarov visited the Al Seeb Royal Stables, which houses a collection of the finest horses from around the world.
