Traditional agricultural fairs resumed in the republic on September 13 at 14 sites in Kazan, two sites in Naberezhnye Chelny and the Zelenodolsk district, three sites in the Nizhnekamsk district, and at varying intervals in municipal districts. Last Saturday, JSC TK Tatmelioratsiya participated in organizing the agricultural fair at the Agro-Industrial Park.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin inspected the fairgrounds.

At the fairgrounds on Yamasheva Avenue in the Novo-Savinovsky District, Marat Zyabbarov and Ilsur Metshin inspected the administrative and sanitary module, the landscaped and paved area, new lighting, and video surveillance.

"Work to improve Kazan continues. It's not just happening in courtyards, public spaces, and embankments. We're also improving conditions at agricultural fairs for buyers and sellers—agricultural producers from 22 districts of the republic—and doing everything we can to ensure their comfort. Nearly 205 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes this year. Growing grain in a region with risky farming, where we alternate between rain and drought, is a tremendous undertaking. Our deepest gratitude goes to all the villagers. Thank you for putting bread on our tables," said Mayor Ilsur Metshin.

Marat Zyabbarov and Ilsur Metshin explored the stalls and studied the product range, and also spoke with producers, farmers, and customers.

"Saturday fairs are held at 14 locations in Kazan, including a new location that opened on the grounds of Salavat Kupere-2, on Alfiya Avzalova Street. There's a small, beautiful space there, where a closed-off store pavilion is currently being completed—it will be open daily. The site on Belomorskaya Street has also undergone major renovations. Yamasheva Avenue also underwent significant renovations this year, with the asphalt surface renewed—it's dry, clean, and comfortable," noted Marat Zyabbarov.

Special pavilions have also been built at six of the city's fairgrounds. These are intended for veterinarians who inspect the products arriving at the fairs. Additionally, amenities have been created for product suppliers: they have a place to drink tea and warm up.

A modern administrative and sanitary module with the necessary furniture has opened on Yamasheva Avenue. It consists of four rooms: two restrooms, a utility block, and an administrative and security office. The site has also been paved, lighting and video surveillance installed, along with fencing and waste collection areas with Euro containers. 38.7 million rubles were allocated for these purposes. Similar work has been completed at sites on A. Lavrentyeva, Batyrshina, Lipatova, and Belomorskaya Streets. Furthermore, construction of a year-round multifunctional retail module with full landscaping is nearing completion at the site on A. Avzalova Street. Landscaping has been completed at the agricultural fairgrounds on Richard Sorge and Dementyeva Streets.

A total of 204.9 million rubles have been invested in the modernization and improvement of eight fairgrounds in Kazan this year.

Over the five weeks of the fair, agricultural products worth a total of 491.5 million rubles were sold, including 3,228.4 tons of vegetables (including 2,177.2 tons of potatoes); 101.4 tons of bulk milk; 261.2 tons of sugar; 682,300 chicken eggs; and 367.0 tons of meat (including 217.0 tons of beef).

5,354 vehicles were used for the fairs.
