Last weekend, the opening of the "City of Craftsmen-2025" national fair and exhibition of agricultural products and technical arts took place at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Leyla Fazleeva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, and Minister of Education and Science Ilsur Khadiullin. Forty-three districts of Tatarstan and 300 educational institutions presented their work and products.
"Every Saturday, agricultural fairs are held in the republic, where residents of Tatarstan can purchase high-quality products from local farmers. But today, not only farm produce is on display here, but also unique items created by our young artisans," noted Marat Zyabbarov.
"It's gratifying to see that the fair is so popular among city residents. It demonstrates that people value the work of rural workers and support the creative endeavors of young people. I am confident that today's fair will continue to delight you with a wide selection of high-quality products at affordable prices," the minister emphasized.
At the fair, visitors were able to purchase fresh products, household goods for the home and garden, textiles, and culinary delicacies. The handmade items of young artisans—schoolchildren and students—generated the greatest interest among residents, displaying handmade household items and unique handcrafted works.
The festival included a rich cultural program, including concerts by creative groups, folk songs, dances, and demonstrations of national traditions.
In addition, the area hosted the familiar agricultural fair with a wide selection of food products. Visitors were able to purchase poultry and livestock meat, eggs, a variety of vegetables including potatoes, fresh milk and dairy products, as well as basic foods such as sugar, sunflower oil, flour, and various confectionery treats.
As a reminder, traditional agricultural fairs resumed in the Republic of Tatarstan on September 13. Fourteen venues were organized for them in Kazan, two each in Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, and Nizhnekamsk, and one in the village of Kamskiye Polyany in the Nizhnekamsk District.
The fair and exhibition aims to achieve technological independence in the production of key food products in the Republic of Tatarstan in support of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security."
