On Knowledge Day, September 1, the ceremonial opening of the academic year took place for the merged Kazan State Agrarian University. For the first time, the celebratory assembly was held on the campus of the N.E. Bauman Kazan Academy of Veterinary Medicine, which has become part of the Kazan State Agrarian University. The festive event at the institute's stadium was accompanied by music, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity.
The event was attended by Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan; Ilshat Nuriyev, Acting Rector of the Kazan State Agrarian University; Lyalya Kudertmetova, Director of the Tatarstan branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank; Ildar Nugumanov, Deputy Head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan; and other officials.
The ceremony began with the raising of the national flags of Russia and Tatarstan, symbolizing the importance of the occasion. Acting Rector Ilshat Nuriyev addressed the audience with warm congratulations and presented scholarships to the best students.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov emphasized that the merger of the three universities expands opportunities for participation in federal grants and programs, and also awarded outstanding students.
"Your university plays a key role in the development of agriculture in the region, providing the industry with talented specialists capable of implementing innovative technologies and solving complex problems. I am confident that under your leadership, Ilshat Gabdelfartovich, Kazan State Agricultural University will continue to strengthen its position in the educational space, remaining the flagship of agricultural education in Russia," the minister remarked.
Lyalya Kudermetova, Director of the Tatarstan branch of Rosselkhozbank, presented bank scholarships to talented students and reminded them of the upcoming elections for the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will take place on September 14.
Representatives from the Ministries of Ecology, Veterinary Medicine, Forestry, and Agribusiness also participated in the ceremony. All speakers emphasized the importance of vocational education and science for the development of the republic's agricultural sector.
