Today, "Agrarian Science Day 2025" was held at the Agrobiotechnopark of the Kazan State Agrarian University. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Yashin and Acting Rector of the Kazan State Agrarian University Ilshat Nuriev.
Ilshat Nuriev noted that the event is being held for the fourth time. "We have laid out more than a hundred field experiments on twenty-five crops. Today, we are developing new biopreparations and various fertilizers here," he said.
Dmitry Yashin emphasized that the Agrobiotechnopark of the Kazan State Agrarian University has become a point of attraction for specialists in the agro-industrial complex and attracts more and more people every year.
"Our goal is to make it a meeting place for farmers not only from the Republic of Tatarstan, but also from neighboring regions and all of Russia," he said.
The event participants examined field experiments on plot crops using various technologies for cultivating the main and non-traditional crops for the Republic of Tatarstan.
The participants of the "Day of Agricultural Science - 2025" were introduced to the developments of specialists from the Kazan State Agrarian University. They introduced a system for managing the genetic resources of grain crops in the context of growing natural and climatic risks, ensuring an increase in grain production.
During the plenary session, special attention was paid to issues of genetic resources in plant growing, the role of microorganisms in the development of nature-like technologies in modern agriculture, complex plant nutrition, new Russian plant protection products and soil microbiome management.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, much attention is paid to selection, seed production and variety testing. Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture of the Federal Research Center of the Kazakh Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences is actively working on the introduction of new varieties into agricultural production in support of the federal project "Selection and Genetics" of the national project "Technological Support of Food Security".
