Today, a meeting was held in the Orenburg Region Government Building on the organization and conduct of harvesting operations in the constituent entities of the Volga Federal District this year. The operational meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Andrei Razin. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov took part in it.
Andrei Razin emphasized the importance of meeting harvesting deadlines, high-quality preparation of equipment and elevators, as well as active interaction between the constituent entities: “The southern regions of the Volga Federal District are among the most productive in the country. Their coordinated work is the key to overall success. Already now, we need to focus on clear coordination of resources, timely information, insurance and logistics. Only with this approach can we ensure effective harvesting without losses,” he noted.
He noted that the harvesting campaign will start in the regions participating in the meeting in the near future.
Andrey Razin emphasized the need for timely delivery of state support funds to recipients, and also expressed confidence that under favorable weather conditions, the southern part of the Volga region will harvest a decent harvest of grain and oilseeds.
Marat Zyabbarov noted that the sown area in the Republic of Tatarstan this year amounted to 2.7 million hectares, including 1.3 million hectares of grain, 580 thousand hectares of oilseeds, 53.8 thousand hectares of sugar beet and 706 thousand hectares of forage crops.
According to the minister, the weather conditions can now be assessed as favorable for plants. The sum of effective temperatures is slightly higher than the standard values and averages 645 degrees. An average of 143 mm of precipitation fell in April-June, the moisture supply of the fields is sufficient.
Since the beginning of the current year, 1009 units of equipment have been purchased, including 179 tractors, 16 grain harvesters, 15 forage harvesters, for a total of 4.2 billion rubles, including 243 units of equipment purchased through Rosagroleasing, for a total of more than 1.3 billion rubles.
“According to the forecast for the production of the main agricultural crops, the gross grain harvest is 4.2 million tons, sugar beets - 1.8 million tons, potatoes and vegetables - 1.0 million tons,” the minister reported.
He noted that there are 44 elevators for storing grain with a one-time storage capacity of 2.6 million tons. In addition, the farms have warehouses for storing about 2.2 million tons of grain.
In conclusion of his speech, Marat Zyabbarov invited the participants of the operational meeting to take part in the International Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Agrovolga - 2025", which will be held in Kazan from July 9 to 11 at the Kazan Expo IEC.
