Today, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation held a video conference meeting on the results of the formation of a dynamic rating of digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex. It was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov.
The Republic of Tatarstan is the leader in digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The top five also included the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Penza, Leningrad and Kostroma regions.
Digitalization of agriculture in Russia is no longer just a prospect, but a reality that helps to increase yields, reduce costs and strengthen the position of the domestic agro-industrial complex against the backdrop of global challenges.
Digital solutions used in various sectors of agriculture in the Republic of Tatarstan: in the field of crop production - geoinformation and meteorological monitoring systems and satellite monitoring; livestock farming is actively implementing herd management and feeding systems, digital animal passports, monitoring and control systems for regulations, milking machines; automated lines and systems using artificial intelligence are used in the processing industry.
“Digitalization of agriculture in Tatarstan is not just a trend, but a key factor contributing to the rapid growth of the industry’s efficiency and competitiveness. Thanks to targeted efforts to implement digital technologies, the Republic of Tatarstan confidently ranks first in the dynamic ranking of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex among Russian regions, confirming this with high indicators for 2023 and the first three quarters of 2024,” said Lenar Garipov.
As part of the national project “Digital Economy”, accelerated implementation of digital technologies in the economy, social sphere and agriculture will create conditions for high-tech business, increase the country's competitiveness in the global market and strengthen national security.
