Sugar beet harvesting completed in the Republic of Tatarstan
Sugar beet harvesting has been completed in the Republic of Tatarstan. A total of 2 million 621 thousand tons have been dug up in the republic on an area of 55.6 thousand hectares with an average yield of 471.5 c/ha.
The highest yield of sweet root crops was achieved in the Tetyushsky district - 585 c/ha and Bugulminsky - 560 c/ha municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. And in two districts, the yield is over 480 c/ha, these are the Drozhzhanovsky and Zainsky municipal districts.
Two sugar beet processing plants are successfully operating on the territory of the republic - the Zainsky Sugar Plant and the Buinsky Sugar Plant.
The harvesting of sunflower and corn for grain is nearing completion in the fields. Corn has been harvested from 42.8 thousand hectares (72% of the forecast), 289.9 thousand tons have been collected. Sunflower has been threshed from an area of 192.9 thousand hectares (91% of the harvested area), 413.2 thousand tons have been threshed.
Other seasonal work continues in the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, the main soil cultivation has been carried out on an area of 1 million 621 thousand hectares, which is 97% of the forecast, including with deepening of the arable layer - 922 thousand hectares.
