11 September 2024, Wednesday

The results of the competitive selection of the educational project "Farmer's School" have been summed up in Kazan. The participants of the new stream were determined the day before by an expert jury, which included representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rosselkhozbank and Kazan State Agrarian University.

35 people will become participants of the fifth stream of the "Farmer's School" in the republic. These are beginning farmers living in 22 municipalities of Tatarstan. Of these, 25 people will undergo training in the direction of "Cooperation", the other 10 - in the direction "Fish farming".

"Farmer's School" has established itself as an excellent platform for advanced training and exchange of experience. Over several years, 144 people have graduated from the school. Most of the participants are those who remained in their small homeland to support and develop the place where they were born. There are also those who moved from the city to the countryside and successfully launched an agribusiness,” noted Lyalya Kudermetova, Director of the Tatarstan Regional Branch of Rosselkhozbank.

Training at the Farmer’s School in the Republic of Tatarstan will start next week. Participants will take part in a 288-hour professional retraining program, “Farmer’s Agribusiness,” which includes both theoretical classes and on-site master classes at successful farms in the republic. The project will end with the presentation of a business plan and the issuance of a diploma of the established form for receiving grant support.

Training at the Farmer’s School also provides additional benefits for applicants for grant programs, in particular, “Agrostartup” within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiatives.”

The final list of participants in the Farmer's School project can be found on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan: https://agro.tatarstan.ru/protokol-shkola-fermera.htm
