In Vysokogorsky District, the development of small farms was discussed

Today, in the village of Yamashurma, Vysokogorsky District, a joint meeting of the Administration of the Vysokogorsky Municipal District, the Association of Farmers, Peasant Farmsteads and Agricultural Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Center for Organic Agriculture and Ecologically Clean Products of the Institute of Agricultural Policy of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan was held. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Rustem Gainullov, Head of the Vysokogorsky District Ravilya Khisamutdinov, representatives of peasant farms and agricultural consumer cooperatives, and other officials.

The purpose of the event is the sustainable development of rural areas, which is understood as stable socio-economic development, including achieving full employment of the rural population with the development of small farms, improving the standard of living and developing agritourism.

The seminar participants visited museums, plantations for growing berry and fruit crops, a peasant farm for breeding horses, production facilities and an agrotourism center. At the meeting on the topic: "The role of the Vysokogorsky municipal district in the development of small farms and rural areas", issues related to the cultivation, storage and sale of berry crops, the role of agrotourism, and the diversity of economic activities of peasant farms were discussed.

The main report was made by the President of the Association of Farmers, Peasant Farmsteads and Agricultural Consumer Cooperatives of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baitemirov.

"Cooperatives have been created in 11 municipal districts. For example, in the Sabinsky municipal district, "Umyrzaya" sold cattle meat in 2023 for almost 800 million rubles. All this is greatly influenced by state support, not only financial, but also a self-regulatory system," he noted.

Also, current farmers Timur Usmanov, Fail Akhmetov, Gabdelakhmat Kotdusov and Alfred Khairullin gave presentations. They spoke in more detail about their farms, processing of berry and fruit crops, selling their own products and plans for the development of agrotourism.

At the end of the seminar, an award ceremony was held, farmers were presented with letters of gratitude and certificates of honor for their contribution to the development of agriculture.
