Today in the village of Narmonka, Laishevsky district, on the basis of the Agrobiotechnopark of the Kazan State Agrarian University and the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture of the Kazakh Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the "Agrarian Science Day - 2024" was held. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Yashin, representatives of agricultural departments of municipal districts, agricultural producers of Tatarstan, agronomists and agricultural engineers.
The first part of the inspection of field experiments of the Tatar Research Institute of Agriculture of the Kazakh Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences began with a seminar on the presentation of scientific achievements in the field of agriculture, conducted by the head of the center Aitugan Khaziev. He spoke about the main aspects in the field of plant growing, innovative technologies applicable to growing agricultural crops, as well as the investment attractiveness of grain, legumes and the most popular varieties.
Attention was also paid to the prospects for increasing crop volumes, food goals in the agro-industrial complex, the most drought-resistant, disease-resistant, and new varieties bred by domestic agronomists were identified.
Then the event continued in the "Agrobiotechnopark" of the Kazan State Agrarian University, where they presented the educational and production base, educational complex, greenhouses and storage facilities.
Dmitry Yashin and the participants of the "Day of Agricultural Science - 2024" discussed production experience and technologies for cultivating the main and non-traditional crops for Tatarstan. Particular attention was paid to the presentation of production experiments on optimizing the structure of crop areas, biologization of agriculture, increasing the efficiency of production of spring wheat, fodder, grain forage, leguminous and oilseed crops, corn and irrigated agriculture.
Agricultural specialists spoke about the areas of state support for the agro-industrial complex in the melioration sector, about competent management of soil fertility, about the export potential of crop production and the effectiveness of using innovations to increase crop yields.
A seminar on "Tasks of Plant Growing in the Republic of Tatarstan" was held in conclusion, where the Deputy Minister highlighted the main areas for increasing the efficiency of plant growing, discussed the accumulation of precipitation and the dynamics of its decrease and changes in the structure of crop areas. Dmitry Yashin called on the heads of agricultural enterprises to pay attention to unfavorable factors that harm the agro-industrial complex and noted that the most dangerous phenomena since 2010 have been about 250, these are frosts, dry winds, strong winds, soil drought.
"These dangerous phenomena have a very strong impact on plant development. This year, 11 thousand hectares were lost from May frosts, mainly reseeded rape and sugar beet. Fruit crops also suffered," the deputy minister noted.
Following the discussion, it was decided that it was necessary to focus special attention on production experiments to improve the efficiency of irrigated agriculture and the production of spring wheat, fodder, oilseeds and corn.
