Last week, spring field work began in the republic. Today, farmers from 29 municipal districts are working in the fields: winter and perennial grasses are being fertilized with mineral fertilizers, and harrowing has begun.
Across the republic, it is necessary to fertilize winter crops on an area of over 527 thousand hectares, and perennial grasses on 350 thousand hectares. As of today, 19 thousand hectares of winter crops and almost 27 thousand hectares of perennials have been fertilized.
6 districts of Tatarstan have selectively started harrowing. These are Aktanyshsky, Apastovsky, Buinsky, Vysokogorsky, Laishevsky and Yutazinsky.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic, from November to March of this year, 276 mm of precipitation fell, which is 170% of the norm. Air temperatures moved to positive values, which provoked a rapid melting of snow from the fields and the beginning of the growing season of plants.
Now the main task is to carry out spring sowing in a short time and with high quality. Missing the optimal time of sowing spring crops reduces their potential yield by 2-3 centners every day.
