In the Arsky district, the problems of decreasing productivity of arable land and measures to mitigate them were discussed
A meeting was held at the premises of Agrofirm Vozrozhdenie LLC in the Arsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan on the issues of preserving the productivity of farmland and protecting it from erosion processes. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Yashin, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, heads of farms, and forestry industry specialists.
During the meeting, issues of preserving and increasing soil fertility of agricultural lands, creating anti-erosion and field-protective forest plantations were discussed. Dmitry Yashin introduced the current government support measures in this area. Lyudmila Pukhacheva, candidate of agricultural sciences, spoke in more detail about the creation of protective forest plantations on eroded lands.
Mars Khismatullin, director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Privolzhskmeliovodkhoz Management, also discussed the issues of introducing reclamation on agricultural lands, the efficiency of their use and government support measures.
