Issues of the information and analytical system of breeding resources were discussed at the Elita JSC
On September 2, 2023, a meeting was held on the topic “Formation of the base of the Federal State Information and Analytical System of Breeding Resources.” The working meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Gelyus Bayazitov, Deputy Director of the Department of Livestock and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Galina Safina, Head of the Department of Breeding and Animal Reproduction Damir Minnebaev, Director of the Union of Dairy Breeding Organizations Ilnaz Khasanshin, and also heads of breeding farms.
The meeting participants discussed the methodology for organizing work in the database, the compatibility of various digital accounting programs with the database, the analytics of maintaining individual records of breeding herds, and the fulfillment of the requirements of selection and breeding work in breeding farms.
During the meeting, an analysis was carried out of maintaining individual records of herds of breeding organizations in the “Selex” program - Dairy cattle in the Republic of Tatarstan”, fulfilling the requirements of selection and breeding work in breeding farms in accordance with Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia No. 336 from 06/02/2022.
Next, a work plan was considered for conducting an independent exterior assessment of animals, sampling for selection control of milk quality, as well as generating data on breeding records in the system of breeding resources.
The meeting participants actively asked questions to the speakers and received valuable recommendations.
The new system for assessing breeding animals will allow not only an increase in productivity, but also a greater economic effect in the industry.
The pilot model tested in Tatarstan will serve as the basis for the creation of a federal system of breeding resources.
