Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with the regions of Tatarstan, at which they summed up the results of animal husbandry for 7 months of the current year. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister Gelus Bayazitov.
The event was attended by livestock consultants, heads of selection and breeding services of the departments of agriculture and food in municipal districts and other responsible persons.
The head of the livestock sector development department, Siren Nigmatzyanov, in his speech focused on the issues of milk and meat production, and also analyzed the work of the farms.
To date, 971 thousand tons of milk have been produced, with an increase by 96 thousand tons compared to last year, which is 111%. In terms of productivity per cow, we go with 10% growth, plus 380 kg.
Only 240 thousand tons of meat were produced, of which 57 thousand tons of cattle meat, with an increase of 2%. Pig meat - 57 thousand tons, poultry meat - 125 thousand tons, 1589 tons less by 2022. For sheep and goats, we have a slight increase of 1,200 heads. The number of horses is 20 thousand heads, there is an increase of 3%.
High growth rates for the production of cattle meat in the Bugulma, Kukmor, Buinsky and Mamadysh regions. A significant increase in production volumes is also in the Tukaevsky, Menzelinsky, Atninsky and Vysokogorsky districts. In 19 districts there is a decrease in the production of cattle meat.
For 7 months of the current year, the productivity per cow averaged 4513 kg. High milk yields were shown by Atninsky, Sabinsky, Mamadyshsky, Menzelinsky, Kukmorsky, Muslyumovsky, Bugulminsky, Yelabuga and Baltasinsky districts. Less than 3 thousand kg per cow were milked by Novosheshminsky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky, Bavlinsky, Yutazinsky, Spassky districts.
Also, Deputy Minister Gelus Bayazitov reported on breeding and reproduction of animals. He said that for 7 months of the current year, the indicators of the offspring of calves and piglets decreased compared to the level of the previous year. In July of this year, the number of calves was increased by 720 heads. In general, 21 districts came out with a plus compared to last year in terms of the offspring of calves. These are Atninsky, Alkeevsky, Arsky, Apastovsky, Menzelinsky, Aksubaevsky, Mendeleevsky.
For 7 months of this year, 55 thousand cows were inseminated, 5 thousand heads more compared to last year. Artificial insemination coverage was 55%, which is 5% more than last year. 22 districts work above and at the level of the average republican indicators. These are Bugulminsky, Aksubaevsky, Mamadyshsky, Aktanyshsky, Arsky, Kukmorsky, Muslyumovsky and Nurlatsky districts.
