Today, on behalf of Rais and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov handed over the keys to 16 specialized cars to the heads of consumer societies and cooperatives of the Tatpotrebsoyuz.

The event was attended by Dmitry Zubov, Chairman of the Council of the Central Union of Russia, Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of regional unions of consumer cooperation of the Volga Federal District and cooperatives of Tatarstan.

The vehicle fleet of consumer cooperatives is updated annually to organize outbound trade, daily delivery of hot bread to villagers, procurement and manufacturing industries in the republic.

“Today, a quarter of Tatarstan residents live in rural areas, and our task is to make their life as comfortable as possible, to improve their well-being. A key role in this is played by consumer cooperation organizations that work directly with the villagers,” Marat Zyabbarov said.

He noted that, despite the difficult economic situation, services worth more than 20 billion rubles were provided last year. More than half of the volume of services rendered accounted for procurement activities, and a third of this volume - for retail trade services.

According to the minister, thanks to the cooperators, 1,148 settlements of the republic are covered by outbound trade. “The volume of public catering services has reached almost 1 billion rubles. At the request of the villagers, they sell their products through a mobile trading format in remote and hard-to-reach settlements,” Marat Zyabbarov emphasized.

The manufacturing industry is also successfully operating - the volume of food production exceeded more than 2.7 billion rubles. Every day, consumer cooperators produce 100 tons of bread, 65% of which are social varieties of bread products for low-income villagers.

In addition, 126 block-modular stores have been built in recent years, 10 more will be put into operation this year, the minister said.

The program to provide consumer cooperation organizations with special vehicles has been operating since 2014. In the last five years alone, consumer societies and cooperatives have received 197 vehicles.
