The seed plant of the Kama agricultural firm, which is part of the Agrosila structure, cooperates with the largest research institutes in Russia and has its own variety testing fields, where various types of promising varieties are tested. Each batch of seeds is certified by the Rosselkhoztsentr and then delivered as ready for sowing directly to the fields of Agrosila agricultural firms. Thus, the chain of intermediaries is eliminated, which can significantly reduce logistics costs.

Every year, demo crops of promising varieties of wheat and barley are sown on the experimental field of the Kama agricultural company. 25 plots have been sown this year. Among them are such varieties of spring wheat as "Arabella", "Nikon", "Odeta", "Toccata", "Aquilon", "Salute Altai", "In Memory of Yanchenko", "Bourbon" and others; barley varieties - "Kamashevsky", "Formula 1", "Eifel", "Paustian", "Traveler", "In Memory of Chepelev", "Nur".

Varieties are tested in several stages: sowing on field, observation by field agronomists during the growing season, delivery of an average grain sample for qualitative analysis to the Naberezhnye Chelny elevator after harvesting. Based on the results of testing, a decision is made on the subsequent use of varieties.

Recall that the Kama Seed Plant is the largest seed plant in the Volga region, which produces original and elite seeds of various varieties of crops. This year, the total shipment of seeds from the Seed Plant for the needs of Agrosila will amount to 36,133 tons. For sale within the holding, 14680 tons of winter wheat, 12870 tons of barley, 5900 tons of spring wheat, 2100 tons of peas, 580 tons of mustard, 3 tons of alfalfa are used. The possibility of selling to third parties 7,500 tons of additional seeds produced by the plant is also being considered.
