Today the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted meetings with delegations from four countries, Malaysia, Iran, Algeria and Mauritania. The working meetings were chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov and his deputies. These meetings were held as part of Kazanforum - 2023, which started today in the Agroprompark. At the meetings, they discussed existing issues and outlined further steps in bilateral cooperation.
It should be noted that the site of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: Kazanforum-2023" is the main platform for economic interaction between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Islamic world. Since this year, in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the international economic forum has acquired federal status.
At the meeting with the Malaysian delegation, it was noted that last year products worth 1931.76 thousand dollars were imported from Malaysia to Tatarstan. This is mainly palm oil and products used in animal feed.
They proposed to build cooperation and export meat, dairy, confectionery, grain products, sunflower oil and meal to Malaysia. Also at the meeting, issues of logistics and exchange of experience in the creation of port zones were discussed.
At a meeting with Turkey, Marat Zyabbarov also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
“It is important for us to develop our competencies in terms of exchanging experience in the direction of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, genetics, organic farming and education,” Marat Zyabbarov added.
The Republic of Tatarstan has the opportunity to export meat, dairy, confectionery products, including Halal, sunflower oil and meal, grain products.
In a working meeting with the delegation of Algeria, the minister noted that Tatarstan is ready for cooperation in the implementation of joint investment projects. To do this, it is necessary to solve the issues of logistics, transshipment, freight cost, availability of boats, exchange of experience in creating port areas and port elevators, the possibility of re-exporting agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan using the largest port area of Algeria.
At the end of the working day, a meeting was held with the delegation of Mauritania. The guests were interested in the development of the fish farming industry in the republic, the interaction between science and production.
