The livestock of 462 Holstein heifers was brought to Tatarstan from a breeding farm in the Ryazan region.
After passing the quarantine measures, the animals will be transferred to the Stepanovka dairy complex, where construction work is currently being completed. The new complex for 1200 dairy cows is located in the Menzelinsky district. The farm building is made using the big-box technology, which provides for the placement of all livestock under one roof. The barn is equipped with an automatic cross-ventilation system that provides an optimal level of thermal comfort for animals, which has a positive effect on their productivity. At present, "Stepanovka" is supplying and installing milking equipment of the "Parallel" type.
The arrived batch of Holstein heifers was placed at the quarantine site of the August-Muslyum agricultural company. The animals endured the road well and are now successfully adapting to new conditions. In the coming days, vaccination and blood sampling will begin for appropriate tests. After the first calving, the average daily milk yield is expected to be about 30 liters per cow.
