As part of the KazanForum, from May 19 to 21, an international halal fair will be held in the Kazan agro-industrial park, which will bring together representatives of different countries. Especially for the event, the entire complex was prepared according to religious standards, and all products were checked. Rustem Gainullov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke about this during a press tour.
“Given the scale of Russia Halal Market, we try to take into account the tastes of all our guests. The exhibition will feature expositions of Tatarstan meat and confectionery producers, as well as products from Iran, Malaysia, Senegal and Turkey. Any guest will be able to taste and buy the product he likes,” the speaker noted.
He explained that Iran will be represented by seafood, Turkey by confectionery, and Senegal will bring only souvenirs, since the length of the flight does not allow this African country to transport halal products.
Gainullov assured that Tatarstan sees great prospects in the halal direction. According to him, now many production facilities in the republic are initially designed to meet these standards.
In total, about 400 outlets will open at Russia Halal Market. It will be possible to try and buy meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, bread, dairy products and much more. At the same time, the entire agricultural park was preparing for the event for about a month and a half.
Agreements were concluded with pork sellers on the suspension of activities for the period of the fair, the building was thoroughly washed in accordance with the canons of Islam, said Oleg Vlasov, general director of the Kazan agricultural park.
“We brought literally everything in line with the standards: from design to composition of the products. All tenants brought their goods into line, but about ten did not do this for various reasons. In particular, we freed up a whole shopping mall where pork was previously sold,” he explained.
Entry to Russia Halal Market will be free. Volunteers will also work at the site to help the elderly.
