Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with municipal districts on agro-industrial complex issues. It was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov.
It was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov, Deputy Ministers Dmitry Yashin, Rafael Fattakhov, Marcel Makhmutov and heads of agricultural departments via videoconferencing.
Marat Zyabbarov touched upon the topic of reducing the purchase prices for milk, the reason for which is the low quality of the supplied milk.
Deputy Minister Dmitry Yashin spoke about the course of the sowing campaign. He reported that, to date, the sowing campaign has been completed by 79%, on an area of 1455.5 thousand hectares. More than 90% of the work was completed by the Tetyushsky, Zainsky and Buinsky municipal districts. The Republic has accumulated 77.9 kg./ha mineral fertilizers.
In his report, Lenar Garipov said that according to the Russian Agricultural Center, the height of perennial grasses on May 3 is from 12 to 25 cm. “This means that the beginning of the first mowing is the second decade of May. This will provide an opportunity to obtain feed with a high content of protein and energy,” he said.
A positive example of maintaining the high quality of milk is the farm LLC "Kishet" Arsky municipal district. Systematic work on the daily renewal of bedding material, compliance with the routine of milking cows, prevention of mastitis made it possible to reduce the number of somatic cells.
On issues of reproduction, it is necessary to organize timely insemination of calving cows.
“Once again, I draw your attention to the fact that it is necessary to complete the preparation of forage equipment. Ensure the readiness of haylage trenches. In the shortest possible time, start forage harvesting and harvesting of perennial grasses,” Lenar Garipov urged.
To date, the protection of bees from poisoning by pesticides and agrochemicals is also a topical issue. Farmers were recommended to organize the sowing of honey plants in order to form protective strips to limit the flight to the cultivated fields. The farms of the Tukaevsky district were the first to introduce this practice, and it has shown its effectiveness.
“It is necessary to intensify the work of passportization, including apiaries of amateur beekeepers, and complete the annual examination by May 12 and make the appropriate entries in the veterinary and sanitary passport,” the First Deputy Minister noted.
Rafael Fattakhov reported that there are 808 self-propelled forage harvesters, 523 self-propelled mowers, 4688 tractor mowers, 1864 balers for timely forage harvesting in the republic's farms. The readiness of forage harvesters as of May 1 in the republic is 85%. Tukaevsky, Bugulminsky, Spassky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky districts are behind schedule.
The Ministry set the task to complete the repair of forage harvesting equipment by May 10. Rafael Fattakhov also focused on the tasks of preventing accidents during seasonal field work.
