Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is taking part in the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University.

As part of the festive program, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the dormitory building of the Kazan State Agrarian University in the morning, which was opened after a major overhaul. The ceremony was also attended by Viktor Berdyshev, Director General of the Association of Agrarian Universities of the Russian Federation, Airat Valiev, Rector of Kazan State Agrarian University and other officials.

The student house includes 2 well-appointed buildings with a total area of ​​more than 9 thousand square meters. 800 students of the agricultural university will live here. The overhaul was carried out as part of the 100th anniversary of KSAU.

The main event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Kazan State Agrarian University was held in the main building of KSAU (Karl Marks street, 65).

From the stage, Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all students and teaching staff of KSAU on a significant date.

Recall that Rustam Minnikhanov is also a graduate of this university. In general, over the years of work, the Agrarian University has graduated about 40 thousand specialists for agriculture and forestry. The university is considered a real forge of personnel for the agro-industrial complex of both the republic and the whole country, Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized.

 Among the graduates of KSAU are leading industry experts, scientists and managers.

Rustam Minnikhanov also said that for outstanding achievements in the development of science and a great contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists for agriculture, the team of KSAU was awarded the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Today, about 5,000 students and postgraduates study at the university, and there are also many students from other countries. The university is faced with the task of increasing the number of students. Today we visited the university dormitory after a major overhaul. The university has big plans to develop further,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

“It is gratifying that the university is actively developing - an innovative model of interaction between educational institutions and the business community has been developed and implemented on the basis of the university,” Rustam Minnikhanov said from the stage. “Unique training and demonstration and production centers have been created.”

As the President of Tatarstan noted, 12 scientific schools of the university occupy leading positions in domestic agricultural science in a wide range of areas. Thus, the university acts as a platform for the development, testing and implementation of new technologies in the agro-industrial complex. Among them is a project to create an Agrobiotechnopark, which is designed to combine the scientific and educational potential, the resources of leading educational institutions, research institutions and agribusiness.

The President of Tatarstan presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished specialists (honorary titles, Gratitude of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan). Departmental awards of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation were also presented.
