On the basis of the breeding enterprise "Elite" a strategy for the development of dairy breeding livestock was presented
Today, a meeting was held on the basis of JSC GPP Elita, within the framework of which a strategy for the development of dairy breeding stock in the Republic of Tatarstan was presented. It was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Minister Lenar Garipov, Director General of JSC GPP Elita Fannur Zaripov, heads of breeding farms and applicants for breeding status, heads, consultants of the production (breeding service) Department of agriculture and food in municipal areas.
Gelus Bayazitov, Head of the Department of Breeding and Animal Reproduction of the Ministry, made the keynote speech. Topical issues for today - the creation of a single database of animal records; exclusion of unreliable data on animals in databases; advanced training of specialists to assess the breeding value of animals; creation of a regulatory framework and methods for assessing the breeding value of animals.
“The geopolitical situation in the world increases the role of the country's independence in providing the population with food. In the livestock sector, this is primarily a strong selection and breeding work. Under these conditions, we set ourselves the task of raising the level of pedigree livestock breeding in the republic, corresponding to the new, modern requirements for selection and genetics,” said Marat Zyabbarov.
For more efficient and coordinated work, it is planned to create a union of organizations for breeding dairy cattle breeding of the Republic of Tatarstan, the abbreviated name "TatPlemSoyuz", which will become a link between the breeding farms of the republic and the interregional analytical center.
