1 February 2022, Tuesday

The results of the implementation of the republican state program for the development of agriculture and the regulation of agricultural products, raw materials and food markets in 2021 were summed up today at a meeting of the Committee on Ecology, Environmental Management, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy.

Last year, within the framework of the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Agriculture, funding was provided in the amount of 17.5 billion rubles. This year, the volume of federal funds has been pre-agreed the same.

This year, according to the deputy head of the profile committee, the agro-industrial complex faces a serious task of increasing competitive agricultural products and increasing the financial stability of the industry's enterprises. In 2022, the production of agricultural products, according to the forecast, will be about 110% compared to the level of 2021.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov, 2021 was not an easy year for Tatarstan farmers.

Despite adverse weather conditions, 2.3 million tons of grain were harvested last year. For the harvest of 2022, winter grain crops were sown on an area of 479 thousand hectares (368 thousand hectares are winter wheat, 103 thousand hectares are winter rye).

“Overwintering is generally going well,” Nail Zalakov informed his colleagues, “there is no threat of death of winter crops in large areas.”

Currently, the villagers are actively preparing for spring field work.

Last year, milk production in all categories of farms amounted to 1 million 958 thousand tons, the productivity per cow was 6601 kg. Over the past 5 years, 91 billion rubles have been invested in the creation of livestock facilities, including 59,000 new cattle places for dairy farming, overhaul and modernization of 1,178 cowsheds for 117,000 heads.

In 2021, 20 new dairy farms and complexes for 14.6 thousand heads were put into operation. This made it possible to obtain an additional 40,000 tons of milk per year. In 2022, another 20 new dairy complexes for 17,000 cows will be commissioned.

As for updating the technical base of the agro-industrial complex, last year 1.8 billion rubles were allocated from the budget for modernization, and 4.8 thousand units of equipment were updated. As part of the implementation of the State Program for 2022, the fleet of vehicles will be updated with 250 tractors, 110 grain harvesters and 25 forage harvesters.

The republic pays great attention to small forms of management. Today, more than 470 thousand households of citizens, more than 4 thousand farms and more than 300 agricultural consumer cooperatives operate in the republic. Every year, more than 2 billion rubles of grants and subsidies are allocated to support private farmsteads.

Separately, Nail Zalakov dwelled on the measures taken to curb the rise in food prices. Agricultural fairs have become a good help in this matter. In particular, prices for vegetables were reduced by 48%, for eggs and cheese - by more than 30%, for granulated sugar - by 10%. In total, products worth 1.9 billion rubles were sold at the fairs.

Deputy Chairman of the State Council Marat Akhmetov, who spoke at the meeting, highly appreciated the work of the ministry during the difficult year and noted that thanks to the efforts made, winter crops are in good condition in the republic today, and farmers are actively preparing for spring field work.
