Today, Deputy Minister Rafael Fattakhov visited the base of the Ak Bars poultry complex in the village of Lenino-Kokushkino, Pestrechinsky district. Here they began to operate gas trucks KAMAZ-5490 for the delivery of animal feed.
Within the framework of the subprogram for the development of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market, implemented in the republic, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated May 24, 2021 No. 362, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan considers several directions for the introduction of LNG in the agro-industrial complex.
LNG is natural gas cooled to -162 degrees Celsius. In this case, the gas turns into a liquid, and its volume is reduced by 600 times, which increases the convenience of storage and transportation and the range of the vehicle.
At the end of last year, Ak Bars Holding Company JSC purchased 3 KamAZ-5490 gas truck tractors with a Vichai engine with a capacity of 400 hp, which run on liquefied natural gas. Two cryogenic tanks with a volume of 477 liters each can provide a range of up to 1,400 km. LNG vehicles are subsidized under the 70:30 scheme as part of the technical and technological modernization program through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
It should also be noted that a prototype of the gas engine version of the MTZ-1221.2 tractor running on liquefied natural gas is currently being tested on the basis of the Avantazh enterprise of the Mendeleevsky region, developed by RariTEK Holding JSC together with TPK MTZ-Tatarstan LLC and PO "Minsk Motor Plant".
