Today, the Ministry hosted an expanded joint board meeting of the Main Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republic of Tatarstan. First of all, Almaz Khisamutdinov made a report on the results of the department's work.
“The anti-epizootic plan for 2021 has been completed. During the year, specialists from the state and industrial services carried out more than 470 million preventive vaccinations, about 68 thousand biological material tests, more than 6 million diagnostic tests, and 59 million antiparasitic treatments. Today there are 40 veterinary laboratories in Tatarstan, 39 of them are regional and one republican. In recent years, a lot of work has been done to bring laboratories in line with the requirements of SanPiN. Thanks to the work done, all 40 laboratories have licenses. They are currently in the process of obtaining accreditation. The main indicator of the successful organization of treatment and preventive work is safety of the livestock. This is a very important indicator for the livestock-breeding republic. The Department of Veterinary Medicine has done significant work to improve safety of farm animals,” he said.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Maxim Uvaydov highly estimated the work carried out in the republic in the field of veterinary medicine.
“It is very important for us that each region has a powerful veterinary service, that there is a professional, competent team. As for the veterinary service of Tatarstan, we see here both a development program and an increase in funding. Next, we need the services of all regions to be on the alert, so that they can instantly work out all the foci, all outbreaks of diseases,” he stressed.
Marat Zyabbarov, in turn, set one of the tasks for 2022 to complete the identification of the entire livestock of cattle and start recording other types of farm animals.
“One of the key areas for the development of agriculture in the Republic of Tatarstan is animal husbandry. In order to achieve food security, to implement priority areas for the development of livestock industries, the country continues to build new livestock facilities. In 2021, 20 new dairy farms and complexes for 15 thousand heads in total were put into operation. This year, another 35 facilities will be commissioned. It is also planned to purchase breeding heifers. And, of course, the veterinary service of the republic is not deprived of the attention of the government of Tatarstan. In recent years, we have restored a network of veterinary sites. According to the republican program, a total of 126 district veterinary stations were built for 300 million rubles. The veterinary service is equipped with modern laboratory equipment and disinfection units,” the minister said.
At the end of the meeting, state and departmental awards were presented to the most distinguished employees.
