Today, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting in videoconference mode on the current dynamics of the project "Export of agricultural products" and forecasts of their implementation. The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov made a report on behalf of the Republic. The meeting was also attended by Nail Zalakov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustem Gainullov - Head of the Halal export project, and Dmitry Yashin - Head of the Food Market Development Department.
"Today, the export of agricultural products of the Republic of Tatarstan in comparable prices is 204.3 million dollars, or 64%. The main lag behind the forecast indicators for the fat-and-oil industry and the grain group of goods," said Marat Zyabbarov.
Last year, the volume of grain products sold for export increased. This year, we also counted on dynamic growth in this position, but as a result of the prevailing weather conditions in the republic and in the Volga Federal District, grain exports from the republic were stopped. We managed to meet only 70% of the domestic demand.
The Minister noted there is a task to develop the export of products manufactured according to Halal standards. To date, the export of these products is 4.1 million dollars, despite the fact that 2 years ago it was only 20 million rubles.
According to preliminary calculations at current prices, the republic will fulfill the export plan, however, due to a decrease in the volume of sales of products, exports of products will make approximately 80% of the plan.
