Tatarstan assessed the condition of winter crops by the time of termination of their active vegetation
The branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor for Tatarstan has prepared information on the state of agricultural crops in the republic on October 28, 2021 As noted in the report prepared based on the results of the conducted phytomonitoring, the second decade of October turned out to be warmer than usual by 3-5°C. "Cloudy weather and low temperature conditions were unfavorable for the preparation of late sowing plants for overwintering. On October 26-27, winter crops stopped active vegetation, which is later than usual: the normal time for our region is October 4-12,as was explained by Lyubov Zanina, Deputy head of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoznadzor" in the Republic of Tatarstan. She also noted that by the time the vegetation of winter crops stopped, the tillering phase was observed on 91.5% of the area. The condition of the crops is satisfactory.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, winter crops for the harvest of 2022 occupy 481.1 thousand hectares in the republic, of which 272.2 thousand hectares are in good condition as of October 28, and 151.5 thousand hectares are satisfactory.
