Taking care of the future harvest on a dacha or household plot begins in autumn. Lyubov Zanina, Deputy head of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoznadzor" in the Republic of Tatarstan, recommends that all autumn fertilizing of fruit and berry crops be carried out after the end of fruiting of trees and shrubs. You can apply fertilizers until the end of September.
Mineral and organic fertilizers embedded in the soil improve its structure, saturate it with useful microorganisms, creating a favorable regime for the normal development of the root system of plants.
Phosphorus fertilizers are "responsible" for the growth and development of the root system. Most often, superphosphate is used.
Potash fertilizers increase the immunity of the tree to negative environmental factors and are responsible for the normal ripening of fruits and the accumulation of sugars in them. Experts consider potassium sulfate to be the best potash fertilizer, since it does not contain chlorine harmful to plants.
Complex chemical fertilizers. Such fertilizers are selected individually for plants. The mineral composition is optimally balanced in them, and the plants will receive everything necessary for development and growth.
Wood ash. It is an excellent natural fertilizer containing potassium, phosphorus and 34 other trace elements necessary for plants, including iron, copper, magnesium, calcium, fluorine, boron, iodine, chromium and others.
Organic fertilizers. These include compost, humus, manure (which is introduced only in a rotted form), biohumus. They enrich the soil with all the necessary nutrients, and improve its structure.
Siderates. These are sown at the end of summer, in autumn they are dug up shallowly, sealing the green mass into the soil. Legumes considered the best siderates: lupin, vetch, alfalfa, clover. Cereals are also popular – rye, oats.
