18 August 2021, Wednesday

In 43 municipalities of Tatarstan, the need for specialists in the agro-industrial complex is 845 people. This was announced at a press conference in the Tatar-Inform news agency by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Makhmutov.

"The number of specialists graduated annually from two agricultural universities does not correspond to the number of young specialists assigned in rural areas. The question of the fixability of all these specialists is very acute. Not all of them return back to the villages, not all want to link their lives in the future with the agro-industrial complex, " the speaker said.

Makhmutov said that the share of young people under 30 who have been employed in rural areas over the past three years is only 9%, and the share of workers over retirement age has increased by 4% during this time.

"The Ministry is implementing a number of measures aimed at securing specialists in rural areas, at popularizing the rural lifestyle and agricultural professions. There are special target places for students. This is an opportunity to get a higher education and a guarantee of subsequent employment, " Makhmutov said.

In addition, in order to attract graduates of agricultural universities to work in the village, an event "Kaitam" will be held. "Kaitam" is a four-day camp that will bring together young specialists - future and present graduates of universities and colleges of the agricultural sector from all over the Russian Federation. The "agricultural" camp will take place from September 12-16 in Laishevsky district.

Participants will live and study in thematic "villages" - communities united by a single production or product theme. Future specialists of the agro-industrial complex will be taught to solve problems in practice, work on the formation of a personal strategy of professional development for each participant will take place.
