Agricultural micro-census started in Tatarstan
Yesterday, the All-Russian Agricultural micro-census began in the republic, and today a meeting of the interdepartmental commission for the preparation and conduct of agricultural micro-census 2021-22 in the Republic of Tatarstan was held. It was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov. He is also the Chairman of the interdepartmental commission for the preparation and conduct of agricultural micro-census. Also, Deputy Minister Rishat Khabipov and Chairman of the Association of Farmers and Peasant Farmsteads of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamiyar Baytemirov were present at the meeting.
"It is a large-scale event that has the most important strategic, economic and social significance for the whole of Russia. The objects of the census in Tatarstan are agricultural organizations, farms, individual entrepreneurs, horticultural and other non-profit partnerships, " Marat Zyabbarov stressed.
"The uniqueness of the information that will be collected as a result of agricultural micro-census is beyond doubt. There is a painstaking joint work to be done. Yesterday, 888 census takers worked, and information was collected on 14,000 objects, " said Natalia Gataullina, head of the Territorial Body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of Tatarstan.
Among the most important topics that will be revealed at the end of the census, it is possible to note the assessment of changes in the placement of individual branches of agriculture, the assessment of the provision of census objects with machinery, equipment, elite seeds, breeding cattle.
Possession of the information obtained based on the results of the censuses allows us to achieve the main goals of the state agrarian policy of the republic: 1) Improving the competitiveness of agricultural products and agricultural producers. 2) Creating a favorable investment climate and increasing the volume of investments in the agricultural sector.
Tatarstan's agriculture occupies a leading position among the regions of the Russian Federation. The Republic of Tatarstan is the largest producer of grain, meat, milk, eggs. In terms of gross agricultural output, the republic ranks 4th in the Russian Federation and 1st in the Volga Federal District. Thanks to significant investments, the largest high-tech farms for the production of meat and milk, are functioning in the republic.
Recall that the micro-census is carried out from August 1 to August 30, 2021, its interim results will be known in December 2021. The final ones will be made at the end of 2022.
