Global challenges in food security to be discussed in Kazan
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan informs that an international scientific and practical conference "Global challenges for food security: risks and opportunities" will be held within the exhibition "AGROVOLGA 2021".
The conference is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, FAO/The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Kazan State Agrarian University.
The event is held with the assistance of universities, research institutes, competence centers from Turkey, the Netherlands, Finland, China, Brazil, Germany and the CIS countries.
The main topics of discussion will be:
- Modern approaches of agricultural science and innovative agricultural technologies in ensuring food security;
- Optimization of mineral nutrition and plant protection in the context of global risks;
- Genetic resources of plants and their rational use in agricultural technologies of crop production;
- Biotechnologies and organic farming.
- Actual problems of the development of the technical and technological base of the agro-industrial complex and ways to solve them;
- Topical issues of veterinary and animal science, biotechnology of production and processing of agricultural products;
- Digital economy in the agro-industrial complex: successful practices of the introduction of intelligent technologies in agriculture.
- Integrated development of rural areas.
