News from the districts: Fodder is being harvested on farms of Tukayevsky district
Today, farms of the republic are harvesting feed. But other work does not stand still. In large dairy farms, as a rule, the same type of feeding is established all year round. As a result, the milk yields are stable. The agricultural firm "Tukai-Vegetables" is currently working on haylage harvesting.
The farms of the Tukai-Vegetables were disinfected, repaired and whitewashed. Now these rooms are fragrant with the aromas of various herbs. Here, away from the sun's rays, medicinal herbal preparations are dried. The benefits of such bouquets for calves can hardly be overestimated.
"We collect herbs before budding. We prepare bundle hay for calves from birth to 5 months. It has all the vitamins and protein. Schoolchildren help a lot in collecting such bundles. They get 26 rubles for one bundle. Some even knit up to 600 pieces", says Vera Piskunova, the head of the farm.
All preventive measures are started even before the calves are born. First, cows are vaccinated, then calves. So, for example, chicks gain the necessary weight in 15 months. Every year, 150 first-heifers are prepared here. Cows and heifers are covered with artificial insemination. There are three technologists in this direction. The demand for heifers is great, the surplus is sold quickly. Bulls are sold at a discounted price to the employees.
"They come from Sabinsky and Verkhneuslonsky districts. Every year we sell 50 heads of heifers", said animal breeder Gulnara Kondratieva.
In the good preservation of calves, the role of supervisors is great. They are the first to notice changes in the condition of animals, provide first aid and call a veterinarian. Two calf coops serve 130 calves. Young animals are located in a separate complex. Today, repair work is also being carried out here. For people, it is an additional income.
"Now everything is mechanized. Manual labor is almost not used. In winter, animals drink clean water. Manure cleaning is mechanized. The farm has everything. There is about 2.5 kg of fodder per 1 head. We get 800 grams of weight gain, " says mechanic Khalit Gilmutdinov.
A summer camp for cows is located next to the farm. Cows eat juicy grass. An artificial pasture was organized for them. 600 cows are divided into three groups and grazed on three pastures.
"Today we receive 16 liters of milk. We supply milk to the Yelabuga creamery and to baby food production. Before that, we cool it to 4 degrees. We receive 25 rubles per liter. About 9 tons of milk are consumed every day. Artificial pasture allows us to reduce the cost of milk. Now the main task is to obtain one and a half thousand cattle. Although there are still last year's reserves, " says Nail Nurutdinov, head of the livestock department.
First of all, we started harvesting hay. For this purpose, 1200 hectares were sown with alfalfa. According to the operational data of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, the farm has pressed 254 tons of hay.
"Every year we distribute 110-120 tons of hay to personal subsidiary farms. To those who keep cattle we give hay in unlimited quantities. There is no need for personnel. Everyone performs his own work, " says Rishat Khatypov, director of Tukai-Vegetables LLC.
The leadership of the district and the republic help a lot. A whole street was built at the expense of the enterprise. 67 houses have already found owners, 2 more are being built and will be put into operation this year. After 15 years, all housing will become the property of the company's employees. Today, the company employs 150 people. In addition to the main work, the farm helps the local school.
