The meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan was held today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin held a meeting of the commission. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Rafael Fattakhov.

All municipal districts of the republic took part in the meeting via videoconference.

According to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin, the situation with fires in the region remains difficult.

He recalled that the previous unscheduled meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan was held on May 5, 2021.

"A little more than a week has passed since our last meeting, where we considered the issue of additional measures to stabilize the situation with fires and deaths in them," Alexey Pesoshin said. - It is necessary to state that the situation remains difficult. We had a serious fire transferred from burning grass to suburban buildings, as a result of which 26 buildings were burned in the garden society "Kama" of the Tukayevsky municipal district. The fire on the territory of the garden society moved from an open area on dry grass, which spread within an hour. In this situation, this is a flaw in the management of the garden society."

According to Alexey Pesoshin, there are also positive aspects. The Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan organized preventive work among the population by the forces of duty guards. Every day, more than 200 groups bypass the households of citizens.

The operational data was presented at the meeting of the commission by the Deputy head of the Main Department of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work Sergey Sergeev. Since the beginning of 2021, 2.3 thousand fires have occurred in Tatarstan, 90 people have died in the fires – this figure is 80% higher than last year. Another 71 people were injured.

"Despite the emerging positive dynamics of reducing number of fires, the situation in general remains tense”, said Sergey Sergeev.

Tukaevsky, Almetyevsk, Vysokogorsky and Zelenodolsk districts experienced the largest number of fires due to burning of dry grass and garbage.

More than 450 administrative cases were initiated for burning dry grass and garbage, as well as untimely cleaning of land. Now there are more than 850 preventive groups working on the territory of the republic. They conducted more than 7 thousand patrols in suburban areas and in settlements that border with forests. In addition, preventive work is constantly being carried out with Tatarstan residents.

"During the inspections, 1.5 thousand cases of dry grass fires were prevented. During the raids, leaflets and memos on fire safety measures are distributed to the residents of the republic," Sergei Sergeev said.

During the commission, the chairmen of district commissions of Almetyevsk municipal District, Nizhnekamsk municipal District, and Tukayevsky municipal District made brief reports on the situation.

At the end of the meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin emphasized that the main responsibility for ensuring fire safety of the territories lies with the municipalities. "If we do not control the situation on fire safety – there will be no order," he stated. – It's an unpleasant job to remind and punish, but it has to be done."

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan recalls that from April 17, 2021, agricultural producers having burnt dry grassy vegetation, stubble, and crop residues in 2020 will be deprived of subsidies in 2021.
