The charity event of the Zelenodolsk Dairy Plant "Dobry Refrigerator" fed a thousand of people in need
This year the "Good Refrigerator" of the Zelenodolsk Dairy Processing Plant celebrates its 5th anniversary. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan, during this time it "fed" more than a thousand in need - this is about 10 tons of dairy products.
The charity event was launched back in 2016. Then, in the ZMK brand store in the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park, a special refrigerator was installed, where customers can leave one or another product for people in difficult life situations.
At first, it was filled by the heads of the enterprise at their own expense, then a variety of people joined the action.
“Donations are made by people of different incomes and for different amounts, as many as they can - from 100 rubles to 10 thousand. The largest donations were made by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. There are businessmen who monthly leave a certain amount for food into the "Good Refrigerator". But, due to the pandemic, donations have become less frequent. For low-income people, this is an opportunity to diversify their menu. This is small, but support, ”says the shop assistant Alsu Rakhmatullina.
During the existence of the "Good Refrigerator", it has had regular visitors - retraitees, disabled people, lonely old women. There is an old woman who comes every day for a pack of milk.
As for the most popular products in the refrigerator, these are milk, cottage cheese and kefir.
