The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting with a delegation of the Altai Territory headed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Territory, Alexander Chebotaev.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov announced the beginning of spring field work in the republic.
“The volume of agricultural products in 2020 amounted to 263.4 billion rubles, or 104% in comparable prices to the level of the previous year. Crop production increased by 6.6% and amounted to 135.5 billion rubles. Livestock production in 2020 increased by 1.5%, amounted to 127.9 billion rubles, "- said Marat Zyabbarov.
In the country, Tatarstan takes the fourth place in terms of gross production - after the most favorable weather conditions in Krasnodar, Rostov, Belgorod and in 1st place in the Volga Federal District. The leader in milk production (1st place in the Russian Federation and the Volga Federal District). The specific weight of the republic in the total volume of the country is about 6%, with the production of 1.935 million tons in 2020. There are 12 breeding plants and 37 breeding stock for dairy cattle breeding. There are 62.3 thousand breeding cows.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan noted that today work continues on the construction of livestock farms and complexes. In 2020, 16 new farms and complexes for 6.4 thousand heads were commissioned. In 2021-2022, the implementation of 19 investment projects for 22 thousand heads will continue, and it is planned to build another 10 new dairy complexes for 9 thousand heads.
The parties also discussed the development of agricultural cooperation and the implementation of a program for the integrated development of rural areas. The Minister of Agriculture of the Altai Territory shared the peculiarities of the agricultural industry, noting that the agricultural land of the region is 11.5 million hectares, and arable land - 6.5 million hectares. At the same time, 90% of agribusiness falls on small forms of farming. The main structure of the cultivated area is concentrated on 3 oilseeds: rapeseed, flax and soybeans. Alexander Chebotaev thanked for organizing the meeting and invited to the Siberian Field Day, which will be held in the region from 20 to 23 June 2021.
Alexander Uskov, General Director of the Agrofirm "August", shared his experience of building a plant in the SEZ "Alabuga" and noted the favorable investment environment in Tatarstan.
Today the delegation will visit the August-Alabuga plant and the August-Agro robotic dairy complex.
