Lenar Garipov: At the end of 2020, the gross export volume of halal products amounted to USD 2.5 million
A discussion platform "Healthy food - healthy nation" was held at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan within the meeting of entrepreneurs.
It was moderated by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Garipov and the head of the republican public organization of Tatar women Kadriya Idrisova.
During the meeting, reports were also made by delegates from the Tyumen and Orenburg regions, the Republics of Bashkortostan, Sakha (Yakutia) and Mari El.
Lenar Garipov addressed the meeting participants with a welcoming speech. He made a presentation on the quality products made in the republic.
“Only healthy people have a future. Today, a sufficient amount of natural, tasty and healthy products is produced in Tatarstan, ”noted Lenar Garipov.
The agricultural and processing industry of the republic at the end of last year showed good results, the cost of gross output for the past year in all categories amounted to 263.4 billion rubles. A noticeable dynamics, first of all, was provided due to an increase in grain harvest by 124.8%. In terms of gross agricultural output, they retained 4th place among the regions of the Russian Federation and 1st place in the Volga Federal District.
"According to preliminary results, the republic ranks 1st in milk production, 6th in gross harvest of sugar beets, 7th in gross grain harvest (in weight after processing) and production of livestock and poultry for slaughter, 10th in gross harvest of vegetables," deputy Minister added.
During his speech, he also spoke about the export of Tatarstan products to the regions of Russia and other countries.
“Many of our enterprises have chosen the production of Halal products as one of the priority areas. For us, this is also one of the priority areas of export. The market for such products is relatively young and accounts for about 10 billion rubles, and every year it grows for 10-15%. At the end of 2020, the gross export volume of these products amounted to USD 2.5 million (including meat and dairy products - USD 0.5 million; food and processing industry products - USD 1.9 million; other agricultural products - 0.1 million US dollars), which is several times more than in 2019. As of today, Halal products of the agro-industrial complex are sold to the regions of Russia and exported to foreign countries, such as Iraq, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Germany, Moldova, Mongolia, the United States and other countries, " Lenar Garipov noted.
Kadriya Idrisova spoke about the project “Turbia Baskychlary”. “Steps of Education” is a film about raising children in accordance with national traditions ”.
At the end of the meeting, the participants discussed issues of cooperation and supply of products, as well as ways of running business.
