The Republic of Tatarstan entered the top regions of the Volga Federal District in terms of activity in the labeling of dairy products

More than 200 companies from Tatarstan working with dairy products are registered in the "Honest Sign" system. This is the TOP-5 among the regions of the Volga Federal District, along with Bashkortostan, Perm Territory, Nizhny Novgorod Region. Manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and retailers registered in the system. In total, about 9000 participants in the turnover are registered in the republic.

The marking system in Russia has been created since 2018. Today, tobacco products, medicines, footwear, a number of consumer goods, perfumery, tires, and photographic products have digital passports.

From January 20, 2021, enterprises can voluntarily label their products. From June 1, 2021, labeling of cheeses and ice cream begins, September 1, 2021 - products with a shelf life of more than 40 days, December 1, 2021 - products with a shelf life of less than 40 days. Farmers who sell their products on their own are given a deferral until December 1, 2022. Mandatory withdrawal through cash desks starts on December 1, 2021, batch accounting - September 1, 2022, piece-by-piece (except perishable) - from December 1, 2023.

Labeling is not required for dairy products weighing less than 30 g, as well as for baby and special food. The resolution also describes the functionality of service providers - printing houses that provide services for printing marking codes on packaging ordered by enterprises. This allows manufacturers to significantly reduce costs.
